East River Park Track Club And NYCRUNS Join Forces To Become A Giant Super Incredible Robot – Create A Brand New 5K!

What will you get at this race? A well managed electronically timed 5K on a brand new course in East River Park! Afterwards enjoy a nice post-race assortment of yummy snacks in the tradition of Best Westerns everywhere. Enjoy your beverages in your lovely new souvenir travel mug!

Prizes will be awarded onsite for the first 3 male and female finishers and age group award winners. Full results will be posted on NYCRUNS.COM by Monday Morning.

This race is capped at 250 runners and starts at 9:00 AM. Number Pickup will start at 7:30AM, and end at 8:45AM. There is a baggage check. The cost of this race is $20. and increases to $25. on labor day.

Race Registration

Directions To Start:Take the F to 2nd Avenue, the L to 1st Avenue, or the 6 to Astor Place and head east. Enter the park across the FDR and head for the track at E. 6th St. There is nearby bus service as well. You can also run to the park or bike. There are bike racks near the track.

Course: The first lap is in blue and is 1.8 miles. It starts at the water fountain at the E 6th St overpass. Go north towards Con Ed, turn right onto the promenade heading South, right onto the path with the seal fountains, back onto the park drive heading North towards the start/finish.

The second lap is red and is 1.3 miles. The second lap makes a right turn, enters through the southern part of the dance circle, follows the path around the circle westward then north, then heads out onto the park drive northward towards the finish.
